Feetpix.wtf NFT Collection Surges in Trading Volume, Game of Thrones NFTs Disappoint

Feet fetishists and crypto enthusiasts have taken an interest in Feetpix.wtf’s newly launched non-fungible token (NFT) collection, “Feetpix.” The collection, which boasts 10,000 unique pixelated trotters, has seen over $1 million in trading volume since its release on Jan. 8.

The Feetpix collection soared ahead of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) on Jan. 11 with the fifth-highest trading volume recorded on NFT marketplace OpenSea. The project has traded over 825 Ether ($1,157,000) across nearly 18,000 transactions. It’s unclear what inspired the surge in foot fetish-NFT trading volumes. Still, Feetpix’s lack of a roadmap, promise, or marketing scheme suggests that a “love for feet” is legitimate and monetizable through digital art.

The highly anticipated Game of Thrones “Build Your Realm” NFT collection launch received heavy criticism despite selling out in seven hours. Collectors reported issues with the minting process and disappointment with the poorly designed avatars.

Yuga Labs, the creative team behind BAYC, is set to launch a skill-based NFT game called “Dookey Dash.” To participate, BAYC and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) holders will need to mint a “Sewer Pass” on Jan. 17 to start playing the game on Jan. 18.
